Lecturer/Researcher
Imagination (Lancaster University)/Guest Scholar at Hertie School of Governance
Lancaster (UK)/Berlin (Germany)

Sabine studies human-centered design and its role within organizations, both public and private. She collaborates with researchers in organization and management studies as well as with design professionals to establish design thinking and design methods as tools for managers to address “wicked” problems and to reshape their organizations around human-centered principles. She teaches postgraduate students in MBA, design and public management programs on design thinking and design methods in the organization. Her work and approach are closely aligned with Service Design, though her perspective on human-centered design contextualizes Service Design with the multiple dimensions of sustainability, usability, usefulness, desirability as well as human-rights and human dignity (ethics).
